On February 21st, 2015 the Spanish Official Journal published the new Royal Decree 110/2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment which abrogated prior Royal Decree 208/2005. This RD 110/2015 implements Directive 2012/19/EU and adapts the old regime to the new criteria introduced by the Waste Act 22/2011. (Spanish Newsletter) RD 110/2015 transposes Directive 2012/19/EU of the Parliament and of the Council, of July 4, on waste electrical and electronic equipment (“Directive 2012/19/EU”) to the Spanish legal system and adapts the previous legal regime to Law 22/2011, of July 28, on waste and contaminated soils (“Law 22/2011”).
