Former partner at Cuatrecasas (2nd largest law firm in Spain), where she was responsible of the environmental, natural resources and energy law practices of its Madrid office. Covadonga advises on all environmental & natural resources (and energy) law aspects. She has wide experience in all environmental areas, as well as in all regulated natural resources, energy and mining sectors. She advices national and international clients on a wide range of matters, including the development of large industrial activities ( i.e. hydrocarbons research and exploitation projects or starting up of industrial facilities), M&A operations (contract drafting & negotiation, sale and purchase of industries or activities and assets with relevant environmental impacts, due diligences), litigation (defence against penalties, environmental liabilities, etc.) and, in general, giving regulatory compliance counselling on a very proactive manner (including corporate compliance programs. Throughout her career she has advised some of the main Spanish and international industrial players as well as many public institutions.

Maria holds a double Bachelor`s degree in Law and Business Management (2012) from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid. After beginning her career as a lawyer at Sánchez Pintado & Núñez, she worked for two and half years as associate in the Public and Regulatory Law Department of the Madrid office of Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira, where she gained extensive experience in business legal advice and management of administrative and judicial proceedings. In September 2015, she joined DEL POZO & DE LA CUADRA, where she specialized in Environmental Law until October 2017, when she entered the legal department of Banco Sabadell and Solvia Servicios Inmobiliarios as specialist in Administrative Law. In 2020, she returned to Del Pozo & De la Cuadra, where she resumed legal advice on environmental matters with special focus on the areas of waste production and management.

Jorge holds a degree in Law and in Business Administration and Management (2020) from the University of Oviedo and a master’s degree in environmental management (2021) from the University of Antonio de Nebrija. He began his career on the environmental law team of Andersen’s public and regulatory law department in Madrid. During this period, he collaborated with the team providing legal advice to national and international clients (among others, companies, associations, and public establisments) in the areas of waste, packaging and circular economy, as well as on administrative procedure and on other areas of public law. In June 2022 he joined Del Pozo & De la Cuadra team where he participates in all types of projects related to the environmental sector, environmental-regulatory advice on the legal framework applicable in Spain and the European Union. Moreover, he intervenes in the defense of the rights and interests of private entities and public administrations in administrative proceedings, including penalty procedures and environmental impact assessments.

Isabel holds a Law Degree (1998) from the University of Valencia and a LLM from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. She began her professional career in the tax and commercial advisory team for large companies at KPMG Abogados in Valencia. She also worked for more than six years in the Property Registry of Valencia and for two years in the City Council of Valencia coordinating Employment Plans.
After several years of leave on personal grounds, in September 2023 she joined the Del Pozo & De la Cuadra team where she deals with all organizational matters as well as paralegal assistance.
