On October 20th, 2015, the Spanish Official Journal published the new Royal Decree 840/2015, of September 21st, pproving measures on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances. The regilation has entered into force the day after publication and repeals prior Royal Decree 1254/1999. This Royal Decree came into force the day after its publication and repealed Royal Decree 1254/1999, of July 16, 1999, which approved measures to control the risks inherent to serious accidents involving hazardous substances -RD 1254/1999-.
